When installing from CD-ROM it is recommended that you accept the 'default' option of Full installation. A full installation means that the entire contents of the CD-ROM will be transferred to your computer's Hard Drive. This means that it will not be necessary for you to have an original Mistral CD-ROM in your computer's CD Drawer in future in order to access the programs.
When installing from a downloaded and unzipped zip file set then the 'default' of Full installation must be accepted.
The alternative option of Partial installation requires much less space on your computer Hard Drive but has the disadvantage that the CD-ROM must always be in the CD Drawer when running the programs. The programs also run much slower from the CD Drawer than from the Hard Drive.
The third option of Custom allows you to over-ride the 'default' path setting for program installation. The default path setting is normally C:\Program Files\Mistral. A reason for over-riding the default path maybe where you have multiple Hard Drives or Hard Drive partitions and wish to define which of these to use. Another reason might be where you have another Mistral produced program or programs and these are already installed into a different folder and you wish to add the new installation into that existing folder. Otherwise we recommend that you accept the default path of C:\Program Files\Mistral.
